Who says the elderly don’t enjoy a good birthday party? Every year added onto a person’s life is a reason to celebrate! Here are some ideas on how to properly celebrate a birthday for an elderly person in your life.
Take Them Back in Time
Since you can’t build a time machine to take your elderly birthday man or woman back in time, bring the past to the present! Do some research on your guest of honor and find out the decade they have loved the most.
Perhaps he or she was born in the 20’s. Take them back to the time of gangsters and flappers. Maybe it was the 50’s that he or she loved most and they would get a kick out of being surrounded by poodle skirts and a jukebox. Maybe he or she loved the groovy 60’s and could take a walk down memory lane with bursts of bright colors, peace signs and lava lamps.
Bring out the Party Animal

Throw a birthday party with a patriotic theme and your birthday man or woman won’t be able to help but feel the love.
Personalize the Party
If you can’t think of a good theme for the birthday person, you can always personalize the party. Get the person’s name on everything- plates, napkins, cups, banners, balloons, etc. etc. It’s a simple yet fun way to celebrate the elder in your life.
